I am an American Mutt. Residing in Lacoste, France for the summer of 2015 placed me in a unique situation where I was equidistant to my maternal and paternal ancestry.
The empowering landscapes of the Provence region created a setting where origin and legacy emerge from the subconscious. The act of tracing lineage back to a place with no physical location is an endless search of self. Through the layering of processes, I created modern pictorial imagery with a solitary figure roaming through a Provincial environment searching for her own ancestry and origins.
